David Isei is the Executive Director of the Hawai‘i Provider Shortage Crisis Task Force, where he leads statewide initiatives to strengthen Hawai‘i’s healthcare workforce and expand access to care across rural and underserved communities. A U.S. Air Force veteran and healthcare executive, Mr. Isei brings a results-driven approach to addressing one of Hawai‘i’s most pressing public health challenges, ensuring that every island community has access to qualified, compassionate providers.

With experience spanning healthcare administration, legislative policy, and human resources, Mr. Isei has dedicated his career to building sustainable systems that serve both patients and professionals. Under his leadership, the Task Force collaborates with physicians, hospitals, community organizations, and state agencies to develop long-term solutions that enhance recruitment, retention, and the overall well-being of Hawai‘i’s healthcare workforce.
